Apartment Residential Assistant
While I did not expect my second year as a Residential Assistant to be in the Apartments or mainly virtual based, this year has taught me so much about communication, empathy, resilience, and problem-solving on the fly. Here are some highlights of my experience:
Hired as only 3rd-year student for the ARA position out of 11 undergraduate Resident Assistants in a competitive hiring process
Created events and initiatives for a 100+ resident community on a virtual platform due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Communicated ever-changing COVID-19 policies and procedures to residents
Maintained community safety though providing duty coverage and enforcing community safety regulations for 19 university apartment buildings
